Decarbonisation and Energy Policy: Slides from the Fide Discussion

The discussion explored the role of decarbonisation in the current energy and economic context, highlighting how reducing dependence on fossil fuels can strengthen energy security, limit exposure to geopolitical shocks, and support Europe’s competitiveness.
It also addressed the opportunities associated with renewable energy deployment, alongside key challenges for the energy transition, including market design, investment in storage and networks, and the development of long-term contracts.
