Welcome to our new Team Members
Starting September 2026, three new members will join EnergyEconLab at CEMFI, contributing to the group’s research activities.
Priyanka Dutta is joining EnergyEconLab as a Postdoctoral Fellow at CEMFI. Her research interests span industrial organization, energy, and environmental economics, with a focus on market mechanisms and economic welfare. Her research combines theoretical and empirical methods to study the design and functioning of markets, with applications to energy and environmental policy.
She received her PhD in Quantitative Economics from Indian Statistical Institute, Delhi Centre, in 2026.
Julian Tito will join EnergyEconLab as a Predoctoral Research Assistant. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Humboldt University of Berlin, a Master’s degree in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy from Vienna University of Economics and Business, and a Master’s degree in Energy and Climate Change Economics from BSE.
He previously worked as an intern in the fields of energy and the environment at the European Commission and the German Agency for International Cooperation.
Xènia Alemany is joining the EnergyEconLab as a Predoctoral Research Assistant. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Pompeu Fabra University and a Master’s degree in Economics from the Barcelona School of Economics.
She gained research experience as a research assistant during her undergraduate studies and completed an internship in public policy evaluation, focusing on climate-related topics.
