Ozgen Kiribrahim-Sarikaya Presents at FEEM’s Early Career Workshop on Climate and Environmental Economics
Ozgen Kiribrahim-Sarikaya attended the 2nd Early Career Workshop on Applied Environmental and Climate Change Economics, held at the Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) in Milan on October 23–24, 2025.
The workshop was jointly organized by the Università degli Studi di Milano, the GSSI – Gran Sasso Science Institute, the Università degli Studi di Urbino Carlo Bo, and the Università di Trento, with the support of the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists (EAERE).
The event brought together young researchers to discuss applied approaches to environmental and climate change economics, providing a friendly venue for doctoral students and early-career scholars to present their research and receive feedback from peers and faculty.
Keynote lectures were delivered by Prof. Joseph Shapiro (University of California, Berkeley) and Prof. Hélène Ollivier (Paris School of Economics). The workshop concluded with a roundtable discussion on “Climate Shocks and Agriculture: Impacts and Risk Management Strategies,” chaired by Prof. Alessandro Olper (University of Milan). The full program of the workshop can be found here.
Ozgen presented her paper, “Place-Based Environmental Regulations and Labor Market Dynamics,” in the session on Environmental Policy and Labor Markets. The paper can be found at this link.
